Jennifer is in charge of conducting, analysing and synthesizing research in healthcare to inform and evaluate advertising.
Execute qualitative research projects and partner with client brand teams and creative agencies to integrate the voice-of-the-customer into strategic and tactical brand planning through among other skill sets- applied linguistics. I manage a range of qualitative projects, including ethnographies, observational studies, video diaries, collages, interviews, dialogue research, metaphor research, semiotics, etc. Additional area of focus on sales force & call center training & effectiveness, leveraging linguistic expertise to support our clients in understanding how talk shapes customer behaviors. Selected as member of the teaching staff in the School of Psychological Sciences for undergraduate classes in Research Methods for Psychology. Compiled and taught qualitative methods module for first and second year undergraduates due to unique and comprehensive expertise. Responsible for preparation and administration of weekly student tutorials highlighting research and study methods. Prepared and presented lecture material as well as developed associated student coursework. Evaluated course work submitted by students.
Utilized as international Project Management team member in areas of translation, communication, mediation and project support. Work closely with various international automobile firms such as Volkswagen, Bentley and Bugatti by means of: Review and correction of materials for the American market for such events as the North American International Auto Show. Management of applicant and Employee Data using SAP data management system. Appointed reference person on all English-internship applicants. Utilized as reference person for international interns and their concerns related to health insurance, bureaucratic procedures in Germany (learned independently) and related issues. Provided direct service to production and technical personnel through several of VWAG's Personnel Service Centers, assisting Personnel Managers with diverse needs including interviews, addressing individual employee issues ranging from health insurance, retirement, job restriction adjustments, disciplinary issues, health and safety counseling and inter-departmental communication difficulties. Utilized data management system SAP in developing cost-center absenteeism statistics in order to implement absenteeism-reduction plan as well as developing personnel planning and needs assessments, writing performance appraisals and letters of reference. Provided suggestions and expertise in the area of EAP for service-delivery improvement in VWAG's Betriebliche Sozialarbeit department which lead to the development of 'Social Coaches' concept.
Responsible for intercultural trainings and staff development in diverse departments as a part of the diversity initiative. Researched, developed and presented the very successful "Brown Bag" educational presentation Managing and Accepting Change in the Evolving American Workplace for Health System employees. Provided short-term counseling sessions to employees whose presenting issues included: loss and grief, addiction, financial difficulties, work-related difficulties, interpersonal communication challenges and family issues. Developed plans with short and long-term goals for treatment. Provided intervention between Human Resources, Department Supervisors and employees when necessary.
